How to Become a Member of ACHEC

ACHEC members contribute their diverse academic backgrounds and professional experience to maintain a broad, international perspective on quality assurance and professional excellence. This multicultural approach ensures a fair, objective, and non-discriminatory interpretation of global standards for accreditation, external rating, and professional recognition across different countries and cultures.

Through this global perspective, ACHEC provides valuable guidance on quality assurance benchmarking worldwide. There are three primary ways to participate in ACHEC.

Discounted Accreditation & Rating Services

Professors, academics, or institutional staff may recommend their institutions for ACHEC accreditation at no cost or at nominal fees, provided the institution meets ACHEC’s accreditation standards or an approved equivalent. These recommendations are informational and aim to promote awareness of global quality norms.

ACHEC offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of internationally recognized quality standards. Interested applicants should email the ACHEC Secretary to initiate the membership process. All administrative coordination will be managed accordingly.

Join Us – Code of Conduct

High standards of honesty, integrity, and impartiality are essential to ACHEC’s accreditation process. All individuals involved—including Accrediting Commissioners, Evaluators, Subject Specialists, Consultants, Administrative Staff, Appeals Panel Members, and employees—must adhere to ACHEC’s Code of Conduct.

All participants must:

  • Annually review, sign, and agree to ACHEC’s Conflict of Interest Policy
  • Complete a Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form for each institution reviewed

On-site evaluators must also annually review and sign ACHEC’s Code of Conduct for On-Site Evaluators. Electronic versions of all required documents are available upon request.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Each year, all ACHEC representatives must review the Conflict of Interest Policy and formally acknowledge compliance. An electronic version is available for online completion.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form

Before reviewing any institution, all ACHEC representatives must disclose any relationships or circumstances that could present a potential conflict of interest. The form is available electronically.
